2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: Name and email address (collected via Clerk authentication), Company name and logo, Brand preferences (accent color)
- Proposal and portal content: Proposal text and project details, Client names, email addresses, and company names, Uploaded files and documents, Messages exchanged through client portals
- Payment information: Subscription billing is handled by Stripe — we do not store your full card details. Stripe Connect account information for payment collection.
- Communications: Emails you send to us (e.g. support requests)
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect: IP address, location, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time/date of activity, and device identifiers.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
We receive information from Clerk (authentication provider), Stripe (payment status), and Cloudinary (file storage metadata).
2.4 Client Information
When you create a client portal, you provide us with your Client's name and email address. We use this information solely to deliver the Service on your behalf.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide and improve the Service
- Generate AI-powered proposals
- Send transactional emails
- Process subscription payments
- Store and deliver files
- Analyze usage for product improvements
- Detect and prevent fraud or security incidents
We do not use your content to train AI models without your explicit consent.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 Service Providers: We share your data with trusted third-party service providers (Clerk, Stripe, Neon, Cloudinary, Resend, Anthropic).
4.2 Your Clients: We share the portal content and your branding information with the Client you specify.
4.3 Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or government authority.
4.4 Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, except for payment records (up to 7 years).
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption, encrypted storage, and internal access controls. No method is 100% secure.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Briefigo uses essential cookies for session management and optional analytics cookies to improve our service. We do not use tracking cookies for third-party advertising.
8. Your Rights
